La baie des exilés est une mini-série historique de huit heures pleine d'aventure, de suspense et de drame. Se déroulant dans la colonie pénitentiaire de la Nouvelle-Galles du Sud, en Australie, et dans la province de Québec, au Canada, entre 1840 et 1844, et inspirée des grandes aventures de survie, la série suit le récit inconnu et inédit de la vie réelle de prisonniers patriotes canadiens envoyés en exil dans une effroyable palissade à l'autre bout du monde.

Concepteur

After spending two years at Concordia in Montreal and homing in his skills at the University of Sydney in Australia learning the technical aspects of filmmaking, Deke Richards spent the mid-90s perfecting his craft as a filmmaker/producer through various award winning and commercially successful films in Australia Canada.

After spending time in LA developing relations with key industry people, Deke returned to Montreal, Canada and helped produce the supernatural thriller called “The Descendant”, the action-packed biker revenge flick called “Deaden” and the gangster film “TRIGGER”.  

Since 2015, Deke had been focusing on documentaries. He had produced and co-directed “TAX SHELTER TERRORS” about the birth of the Canadian Film Industry via the exploitation movie boom, as well as “VIVE LE QUEBEC LIBRE” about the rise of the sovereignty movement in Quebec since 1967 and its status today. Deke is now directing a historical documentary piece called “LAND OF A THOUSAND SORROWS REVISITED” about the untold story of the Canadian rebel Prisoners exiled in Australia.
